The Role

Forkast.News is hiring a Content Writer to join the Forkast.Studio content team. This role will work closely with Forkast.Studio brand partners, as well as the editorial team, to support and produce content to better serve our brand collaborations. These partnerships span sponsored content (print / video), marketing initiatives, and events, and you'll work directly with brands in the digital assets / blockchain / DLT world, as well as corporate companies inclusive of Fortune 500s.

Our content is read by top institutional / retail investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives. Your written work will be shared across multimedia channels of print, video, and podcast.

Forkast.News speaks to an audience of professionals and corporate decision-makers who are interested in developing a point of view on blockchain technology, digital assets, and web 3.0.

We are looking for the right person to join the team, freelance or full-time. This is a remote position. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Job Duties

  • Work with brand partners directly to understand their business / product and needs to communicate to the audience

  • Quickly ramp up to different technology concepts and create engaging, simple to understand yet value-driven content

  • Flex across marketing and editorial thinking, delivering branded content in a journalistic style

  • Write content that may be produced against a wide range of multimedia (print, audio, video, social media) based on project objectives

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a writer or marketer with a digital media platform

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, decentralized startup environment – hungry and willing to roll up your sleeves

  • Undergraduate or Masters experience in Marketing or Journalism is preferred

  • Ability to write muscular prose about emerging technology and complex issues in a way that is clear-eyed and free of jargon but also in a sophisticated manner for Forkast's professional readership

  • As this would be a remote position, our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently

  • Strong interest in digital assets, blockchain, and crypto; familiarity with concepts in digital assets / crypto is a plus

  • Excellent eye for grammar, spelling, syntax, and writing for clarity

  • Attention to detail; open-minded; creative and proactie

  • Strong communication (native written and verbal English)

  • Knowledge of WordPress CMS for digital publication is a plus

  • Knowledge of SEO keyword research and headlines is a plus

Graphic Design Intern | Spring/Summer

The Role

Forkast.News is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our team for the summer, with possibility of an immediate start. This role reports directly to our Creative Director and would have opportunity to produce artwork to complement our editorial content that is read by top institutional / retail investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives. This is an opportunity to have your work seen by the leading voices in the industry on a daily basis. Your creative content will be shared across multimedia channels of print, video, and podcast, and will have a big impact on our audience's experience!

Job Duties

  • Work with the Creative Director to conceptualize designs that are in line with Forkast's brand style, to be published on our site and social media channels

  • Create graphic design content for any events or projects in collaboration with our partners / brands (e.g. GIFs, banner photos, social media assets, video stills / thumbnails)

  • Participate in website and product redesign initiatives

Qualifications

  • Skilled in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, etc.

  • Experience with digital illustration is a bonus

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, decentralized startup environment – hungry and willing to roll up your sleeves

  • As this would be a remote position, our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently

  • Must have a keen eye for simple, elegant, and refined design

  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills

The Role

Forkast.News is hiring a Research Analyst to join the editorial team and produce industry-leading digital assets, blockchain / DLT, and crypto research. Our work is read by top institutional / retail investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives in the industry. This is an opportunity to write and publish different types of research material (including industry market reports and breaking news stories) that engage our audience and will be shared across multimedia channels of print, video, and podcast. This role will work closely with our editorial leadership and influence our day-to-day editorial agenda.

Forkast.News speaks to an audience of professionals and corporate decision-makers who are interested in developing a point of view on blockchain technology, digital assets, and web 3.0. Developing insightful perspectives through research is a critical part of our editorial process, and this role would play a key role in defining our editorial output. We will encourage you to participate in Twitter discussions and represent Forkast as a digital asset expert at our events.

We are looking for the right person to join the team, with room to grow to lead a research team for editorial. This is a remote position. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Job Duties

  • Monitor the latest movements and trends in digital assets / crypto, with emphasis on analysis of the industry (including listed companies and market trends) to present meaningful market findings and commentary

  • Draft and publish research alongside Forkast.News' editorial team on a daily basis (including supporting editorial coverage with market trends, insights, charts, data, analysis)

  • Contribute to new report coverage ideas and product ideas

  • Take lead in evolving products for Forkast.Insights business, including creating data tools and methodologies

  • Interview industry professionals and independently source and manipulate data to augment research output

  • Lead research and writing for in-depth industry research reports on an as-needed basis

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of equity research or financial research experience; CFA preferred but not required

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, decentralized startup environment – hungry and willing to roll up your sleeves

  • Strong interest in digital assets, blockchain, and crypto; familiarity with concepts in digital assets / crypto is highly preferred

  • Strong sense of journalistic integrity, with an excellent eye for grammar, spelling, syntax, and writing for clarity

  • Strong project management skills

Research Associate | Summer Internship

The Role

Forkast.News is looking for a Research Associate Summer Intern to join our growing editorial team. The internship will provide an inside look at what it's like to work at a fast-paced startup and is designed to provide students with real-world experience and exposure to working in the digital media industry.

You do not need to know much about blockchain or crypto, but any interest or background is a strong bonus – there will be many opportunities to gain experience and access to what's happening in blockchain, crypto, and digital transformation.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Internships last for the duration of the summer, with the possibility of extension. This is a remote position.

Job Duties

  • Work with Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor, along with the broader editorial team on stories, story pitches, and publishing schedule

  • Assist the editorial team with all aspects of the research and story lifecycle, including research, fact checks, analysis, and briefings on current and future story assignments

  • Coordinate and research notes on upcoming guests, newsmakers, and projects

  • Assist with scriptwriting for various interview segments and podcasts

  • Opportunity to write stories for publish, with bylines, upon successful research and collaboration with the team

  • Opportunity to attend editorial meetings and see the inner workings of a news organization

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at a top-tier institution
